Our Mission
For years, schools in the UK have been battling to manage costs that increase far more quickly than income. The message is always the same: do more with less! Treasury Works exists to change that narrative. Every pound sitting in a trust bank account uninvested is a pound doing nothing for pupils. Treasury Works turns those reserves and monthly cashflows into real, secure income. We spread deposits across FSCS-protected banks, and the Trust remains in full control of its money at every step.
We estimate that last year upwards of £68 million in investment income sat unearned by Trusts. That income would have funded teaching staff, upgraded IT in classrooms and modernised school buildings. Treasury Works Reserves Management Service ensures your Trust can access their share of that income.
● We provide DfE compliant policies, an investment strategy and calendar, a personalised client dashboard, investment forecasting, risk management, fund administration, board reports and audit evidence.
● You decide how to spend the extra funds.
Compliance built in
Section 2.23 of the 2026 Academies Trust Handbook (ATH) is clear. Trust Boards must ensure investments and savings are properly managed. The Treasury Works service delivers handbook compliance for you in one end-to-end service, enabling your Trust to demonstrate each of these ATH requirements is fully met.
